Slumber Strategy Group is pleased to present its Q3 Rest Review. This quarter, our clients achieved record levels of horizontal engagement, while our own team achieved record levels of horizontal.
Executive Summary
In short, we slept. We slept in the morning, we slept at noon, and we slept in the gap between those two. Total rest hours rose 14 percent year on year, and the average nap lengthened by eleven minutes. Management has described the results as satisfactory, and then fell asleep.
Key Metrics
- Average nap duration: 74 minutes, up from 63
- Successful curling events: 312
- Cushion occupancy rate: 97 percent
- Unplanned wakings: 8, all caused by a vacuum cleaner
- Dreams reported: 41, of which 40 involved birds
Drivers of Performance
Our analysts have identified three drivers. First, the weather, which was cool and grey. Second, an increase in available laps, owing to a reorganisation of the sofa. Third, a company wide commitment to the principle that nothing urgent has ever happened before noon.
Challenges
Challenges include a rise in afternoon noise, a shortage of sunny patches, and an unexplained draught in the boardroom, which is a cardboard box. We have also seen a worrying increase in clients who are awake, many of whom claim to have heard something.
Recommendations
We recommend that clients continue to prioritise rest, resist the temptation to be productive, and keep their calendars free of anything that begins with the word breakfast. We also recommend a second cushion, for the cushion.
Outlook for Q4
We expect the fourth quarter to be quieter, darker, and cosier. Demand for blankets is likely to rise, and we anticipate a bull market in warm laps. Our forecast confidence is high, but our forecast alertness is low.
These findings are fictional and not a real financial or health report. No actual quarters were reviewed.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a restful and rewarding future.
